Astudio: High-Performance WooCommerce Furniture Store

A minimalist WooCommerce storefront for a premium Italian furniture importer, designed to present high-resolution interiors without sacrificing catalog speed.

Challenge

The store needed to showcase premium furniture through large, detailed interior photography while keeping the browsing experience fast. Collections, brands, and materials also required practical filtering that would not interrupt the visual flow.

Solution

We created a custom WooCommerce experience with asynchronous filters and progressive delivery for high-resolution imagery. The interface keeps product photography dominant while giving shoppers direct control over collections, brands, and material attributes.

Technical Approach

The storefront used a custom theme, structured taxonomies, AJAX catalog filtering, responsive image sources, lazy loading, and production caching. Media behavior was tuned separately for desktop and mobile so UHD assets did not block initial rendering.

Validation

We tested filter intersections, product navigation, image loading behavior, responsive layouts, and performance under production conditions. PageSpeed was measured after the final media and cache configuration was applied.

Results

The project launched in four weeks. The finished store preserved high-resolution merchandising and reached a 94/100 PageSpeed score with fast, uninterrupted product discovery.
